Understand the numbers
Revenue is the start.
Profit is what remains.
How resale profit is calculated
Add the selling price and shipping charged to the buyer. Subtract the product cost, shipping you pay, packaging, other costs and fees.
Profit = revenue − costs − fees
Net profit margin is profit divided by revenue, multiplied by 100. For a 40.00 sale with 21.00 of product and fulfillment costs, an illustrative 10% fee and a 0.30 fixed fee, profit is 14.70 and the net margin is 36.75%.
What is the break-even price?
It is the lowest item price that covers the costs and fees entered here. The calculator works backward from those costs, accounts for shipping collected and rounds the percentage fee to the nearest cent.
Before you price it.
Which fees should I enter?
Use the actual percentage and fixed fees that apply to your sale. The calculator models one combined percentage on the selling price plus shipping collected. It does not look up marketplace rates, fee caps, tax-based fees or minimum charges.
Is shipping charged to the buyer profit?
Shipping collected is revenue. Shipping you pay is a cost. Enter both, even when the amounts are equal, because some percentage fees also apply to the buyer's shipping payment.
Does changing currency convert my costs?
No. It changes the currency label and formatting. Enter every amount in the same currency before using the result.
Do I need SellerBay Premium to use this?
